| USB Socket Power Usage - This is a very common question we get asked. These USB sockets can vary their power consumption and output depending on how they are being used at the time. When nothing is plugged into the socket the chargers use minimal power, less than 0.1W (it takes over a year to use 1 unit of electricity). When in use their are able to vary their power output according to the charging device’s requirement, typically charging at the full power of the USB port for 80% of the battery capacity, which then scales down during the last 20% of capacity to prevent overheating and prolong the device’s battery life. |
What is a Plug Socket with USB Charging?

The total charging rate per USB socket is per socket ‐ this power is NOT shared between USB sockets so the charging performance is not slowed or impaired when using both USB chargers at the same time unlike many other USB charging sockets on the market today.
